Take your preparation for this year’s Etape du Tour to the next level with a fully guided training weekend at Chalet La Giettaz, in conjunction with our friends at Alpes Aventures. Our bike-friendly chalet is in the heart of the northern Alps, close to the route of the 2018 Etape and within easy reach of all 4 main climbs on the route. Our Etape du Tour Training Weekend offers two and a half days of supported rides with qualified in-ride coaching and full reconnaissance of the entire route between Annecy and Le Grand-Bornand.
At the chalet, you’ll find comfortable, well-equipped and bike-friendly apartment accommodation, with a guaranteed warm welcome and plenty of local knowledge to give you the inside track on the route. Our half-board package includes cycling-specific breakfast and dinner, served in our friendly and welcoming bar, adjacent to the chalet. And there’s also our sauna and hot tub to soak those tired limbs at the end of each ride and keep you fresh for the next day’s effort.
Over the two and a half days on the bike, you'll recon the full route of the Etape** in the company of our qualified guide, who'll be on hand with expert advice to maximise your performance over the challenging course. Full vehicle support is provided. In total you can expect to ride at least 300km over the weekend, honing your climbing (and descending) skills as well as learning where to conserve energy and where to go full gas.
The weekend package is priced at € 679 per person*, and includes:
- 3 nights' half-board accommodation
- Airport transfers between Geneva Airport and the chalet (journey time approx. 75 minutes)
- Two and a half days of fully guided, fully supported training rides covering all the route of the 2018 Etape du Tour**
- Detailed training advice from a qualified coach
The first Etape du Tour 2018 Training Weekend is scheduled for the May bank holiday weekend of Friday 25th to Monday 28th May 2018. Evening arrivals on Friday 25th are also possible and would allow two full days’ of riding on Saturday and Sunday. Further weekends may be available during June, according to demand.
