Chalet La Giettaz is a traditional French Alpine chalet, recently refurbished into 10 self-contained boutique apartments, with private spa and bar complex. We are located in the picturesque mountain village of La Giettaz, just a short drive from Megève, La Clusaz, Annecy, Mont Blanc and the Chamonix Valley, and within easy reach of Geneva Airport.
This idyllic Savoyard retreat is a perfect base for both winter and summer breaks, offering the opportunity to participate in invigorating alpine activities such as skiing, snowboarding, walking, cycling and mountain biking or simply to unwind in the fresh air and spectacular beauty of the mountains.

Situated in one large chalet, all of our spacious apartments benefit from spectacular views across the valley, and have been comfortably furnished with a touch of luxury to provide restful and welcoming accommodation in a beautiful mountain setting.
Guests at Chalet La Giettaz can enjoy a range of catering options, with each apartment having fully-equipped kitchens, breakfast deliveries included in the price of your stay, 3-course meals available in our bar, and some lovely village restaurants nearby.
Flexibility is key to your holiday at Chalet La Giettaz. Our apartment configurations mean that, no matter the size and style of your party, we can accommodate you in comfort. We can cater for couples preferring privacy, large groups of friends wanting adjacent apartments and shared terraces, as well as families looking to make use of our child-friendly apartments, the village crèche and an on-site baby-sitting service. Chalet La Giettaz can also be hired in its entirety (with a maximum sleeping capacity of 60).
We are also delighted to offer writers' retreats, chaired by the internationally acclaimed author and broadcaster, Bidisha, who has personally drawn great inspiration from the majesty of the surrounding landscape. Solo, bespoke and group creative workshops are available throughout the year in our beautiful Alpine setting.

The French Alps offer some of the finest cycling terrain in the world, and La Giettaz is right at the heart if it, with Le Tour de France passing us this summer! Located only 4km from the famous Col des Aravis, which has featured on the route of Le Tour no less than 39 times, Chalet La Giettaz is an ideal base for cyclists of all levels who wish to experience these iconic mountain roads for themselves.
La Giettaz is a fantastic starting point for hundreds of kilometres of walking and hiking, through some of Europe’s most enticing mountain scenery. The trails are fully maintained and signposted, and are clearly marked on maps available from the Chalet and the Tourist Information Office in the village. We can arrange tours with a local guide, help you work out your own itinerary, and even drop you off or collect you along your chosen route!
